What are 2 things you really like/enjoy about your job?
I love creating music because it allows me to express myself and spread positivity while inspiring and connecting with other people.

What Training have you received?
I suppose it depends on what your definition of “training” is; I have 2 Masters degrees, a wealth of writing experience and research in the social sciences but I have never received formal guitar or voice lessons and do not know how to read music.

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at work?
It is rare that I am not doing something associated with music, however, I also enjoy coaching lacrosse and soccer, teaching fitness classes, traveling, reading, photography, drawing and design, NPR, hiking with my dog, and time spent with good food, friends, and family.

What are 2 things you really like/enjoy about your job?

I love coaching the students because I can express my joys without limitations. Coaching is an expansive job, it gives you freedom to be emotional, compassionate and nurturing. If you balance it correctly, all of that positivity comes back at you ten-fold; feeding your own needs and
giving you energy to keep thriving.

Again, coaching is expansive. I love problem solving, so I enjoy knowing my curriculum, but then figuring out ways to teach the same skill to different children. Dissecting their personalities, physical strengths and learning styles keeps my mind sharp and flexible and allows me to never
stop being creative.

What Training have you received?
I have coached in 11 different gymnastics facilities throughout the country, which provided me with a great view of what I wanted to do and what I didn’t want to do when I opened my own facility. I am USA Gymnastics Safety Certified, Level 300 Coaching Certified and Safe Sport Certified. I have taken numerous clinics with nationally ranked coaches from around the country at the USA Gymnastics Training Congress each year (since 2010) and have traveled throughout New England to train with Olympians and National coaching staff as well.

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at work?
I enjoy being a mother of three, snowboarding, being home (haha!), mountain biking, kayaking, swimming in the VT rivers, and high diving when I still get a chance.
